Assembler Technical

Pay Rate: up to $21 per hour

Summary:

• Work under direct supervision from Team Lead and/or manager.
• Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Assemble multiple styles of driver barrier doors using blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, and Process Standards Sheets (PSS).
• Use a computer to access the latest drawing of V-Shield for assembly.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and final assembly panels using Bill of Material.
• Utilize pneumatic, hand, electric, and torque tools to attach and secure components and subassemblies to a panel.
• Adjust components as needed and certify quality of assembly or sub-assembly.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
• Ensure a safe working environment and good housekeeping practices.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; technical studies preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to follow instructions and management directives.

Physical Demands:

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment:

• Frequently exposed to extreme cold and heat (non-weather).
• Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions and work near moving mechanical parts.
• Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
