Job Title: Fusion Technician / Assembler


Job Description


This 12-week assignment offers the opportunity to support a cutting-edge clean energy project by fabricating and installing capacitors for the Orion initiative. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility, assembling mechanical and electronic components, following detailed technical instructions, and contributing directly to the development of advanced energy technology.


Responsibilities


+ Assemble mechanical and electronic components, including cables and capacitors, according to technical drawings and work instructions.

+ Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Perform electronic assembly tasks such as wiring, crimping, and cable assembly with a strong focus on quality and consistency.

+ Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.

+ Conduct regular quality checks on assemblies and components to ensure they meet specifications and standards.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and facility protocols.

+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and resolve assembly or quality issues.

+ Follow detailed instructions and process steps precisely, documenting work as required.

+ Work a consistent 40-hour workweek on either first or second shift, with optional overtime as needed.


Essential Skills


+ At least 1 year of experience in assembly, production, or a closely related mechanical or electronic assembly role.

+ Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a production or assembly environment.

+ Experience with mechanical assembly, including working with fasteners, fittings, and mechanical components.

+ Experience with electronic assembly, including wiring, crimping, cable assembly, and working with electronic components.

+ Ability to read and follow technical instructions, blueprints, and drawings.

+ Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

+ Capability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.

+ Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

+ Skilled in using measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.

+ Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Previous experience working in a cleanroom or controlled environment.

+ Experience in cable assembly, mechanical assembly, or electronic assembly within a manufacturing or R&D setting.

+ Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment with evolving processes typical of a growing technology organization.

Work Environment


The role is based in a modern, state-of-the-art facility in Everett, WA, featuring cleanroom spaces, a new warehouse, and secure areas due to the high sensitivity of the technology. You will work Monday through Friday on a consistent 40-hour schedule, with optional overtime. First shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and second shift runs from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Work involves operating hand tools, power tools, and production equipment in a structured manufacturing environment. When working in the cleanroom, you will wear a bunny suit and gloves as part of the required dress code and contamination control procedures. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with strict security protocols and a professional, team-oriented atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.40/hr.


Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
