Summary:
The Hand Solderer is a mid-level role responsible for performing a variety of soldering operations on PCBAs, including both SMT and thru-hole components, with minimal supervision. This role requires demonstrated soldering skills, the ability to troubleshoot basic issues, and consistent delivery of high-quality work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other Duties may be assigned)
• Perform soldering of SMT and thru-hole components at IPC Class 2 standards with minimal supervision.
• Support PCBA assembly, rework, and troubleshooting of moderate complexity.
• Conduct inspections, identify defects, and correct issues independently.
• Maintain production records, quality logs, and ensure adherence to build documentation.
• Participate in rework processes.
• Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Escalate issues to senior solderers or supervisors for troubleshooting when needed.
• Follow all ESD, safety, and company quality procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of hand soldering experience, including SMT and thru-hole
• Ability to read and interpret PCBA documentation and mechanical drawings
• Wire Soldering Experience
• PCBA Rework Experience
• IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 Certification preferred but not required
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five or more years’ experience of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
