Assembler – Day Shift

Pay:$18.86–$22.00 per hour(Based on Experience)
Location:Tulsa, OK
Shift:Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Overtime:As Needed

Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Assembler to join a busy manufacturing and production team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for assembling mechanical products and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications while maintaining established quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has previous mechanical assembly experience, strong hand-tool skills, and the ability to accurately follow blueprints and technical instructions while identifying and troubleshooting basic assembly issues.




Required Experience & Skills

• Previous experience assembling parts or mechanical equipment
• Strong knowledge of hand tools; power tool experience is a plus
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to follow verbal, written, and diagram-based instructions
• Knowledge of shop safety practices and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must successfully complete required drug screening and background check




Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble products and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications
• Identify and gather the correct parts, components, and materials needed for assigned assemblies
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment to complete assembly work
• Inspect completed assemblies for proper alignment, operation, and overall quality
• Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or required modifications
• Assist with troubleshooting assembly problems and corrective actions
• Perform hydrostatic testing as required
• Paint finished products as needed
• Operate a forklift to move freight and inventory when trained and authorized
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company shop safety and quality procedures
• Perform additional assembly and production duties as assigned




Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical or industrial assembly experience
• Manufacturing or production experience
• Power tool experience
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills
• Hydrostatic testing experience
• Forklift operating experience
• Basic painting or industrial finishing experience
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical assemblies




Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Regular use of hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for detailed assembly work
• Adequate close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to safely perform assigned work while wearing required PPE




Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing and mechanical assembly environment
• Regular use of hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and production machinery
• Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate industrial noise
• Hands-on position involving assembly, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, painting, and material handling
• Overtime may be required based on production needs
