Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for an assembler position at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. This is a temp-to-hire job.
The hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $19.25 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform cable assembly operations following documented work instructions and or customer documentation
- Enter transactions into computer, complete logs and records as required
- Work under close direction of the production supervisor, group leader or designee
- Cross train in other departments
- Other duties as assigned; may include wire cutting, wire stripping and wire termination, or other similar tasks
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of experience working with wiring and hand tools strongly preferred
- Experience using hand assembly tools such as cutters, strippers for cable jackets and individual wires, various types of hand and semi-auto crimp tools, pliers, tweezers and knives
- Able to measure lengths accurately, (U.S. Standard and Metric), using rulers, measuring tapes and calipers
- Able to read and show understanding of customer work instructions and build material lists, as well and company required work and training documents; IPC-620 understanding a plus
- Able to communicate and read/write in English
- Able to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to be cross training within other areas
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic data entry skills
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
