DPP is seeking an
Assembler 2 for an opportunity with our client in the Defense & Space Manufacturing industry.
Work location: Onsite in Madison, AL
Work shift: Mon-Thurs 6:00AM-4:30PM
Duration: 3 months
Terms: W2 position
Work authorization: US Citizen
Responsibilities:- The Assembler will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
- May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Basic qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of related assembly experience.
- Experience with soldering (J-Standard certification preferred), surface mount (SMT) packages, or wire harness construction.
- Ability to work from complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and, or, work instructions.
- Experience working with microscopes for precision assembly.
Preferred qualifications: - Experience assembling and troubleshooting Radio Frequency (RF) and/or Communication, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) systems.
- Experience in rework and modifying dense SMT (Surface Mount Technology) circuit boards and prototype cables.
- Proficiency in using microscopes for assembling small mechanical parts.
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) such as SAP, Solumina, or Tableau.
- Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), FOD (Foreign Object Damage), and ITAR/AS9100 regulations.
