Shift timing: 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
  • Job Title: PRESS OPERATOR:
  • Pay Rate is $18.50 an hour
  • F Shift-3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. weekends included.
  • 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
  • Steel toe or composite shoes are required for the job assignment.
  • THIS IS A NOT A CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT, IT IS A VERY HOT WORKING ENVIRONMENT DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.
  • High School diploma or GED is required for this job assignment.
  • Job Summary
  • Responsible for loading, operating, and unloading rubber press equipment to manufacture products that meet all product specifications, quality standards, and production requirements while minimizing waste and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Essential Functions
  • Load raw materials into the press according to established procedures, ensuring proper weight and material distribution for consistent mold coverage.
  • Monitor and operate press equipment to ensure lubrication, temperature, tonnage, and cycle times meet product specifications. Report any equipment issues or process deficiencies to the setup technician or supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by properly disposing of scrap, waste, and other materials in designated locations.
  • Ensure cleanliness of equipment and workstations by removing oil, cured scrap, water, and other contaminants that could affect product quality before or after curing.
  • Accurately complete production, quality, and process documentation.
  • Trim excess material from pads, inspect stoppers for quality defects, and perform necessary corrective actions when defects are identified.
  • Process manufactured pads through the cooling unit according to established procedures.
  • Stack and place pads or stoppers onto pallets or other designated storage locations.
  • Follow all safety policies, environmental procedures, and Quality System Regulations (QSRs) at all times.
