Assembler 1, General - E Shift (3-2-2-3 Schedule)
Location: Sumter, SC 29153 | Contractor | $15.90/hr
About the Role
Join a dynamic production team as an Assembler 1, General on our E Shift. Operate and optimize essential production and packaging equipment in the Sharps Department. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to achieving high-quality standards and production goals in a supportive work environment with a consistent 3-2-2-3 shift schedule (12 hours, 8am-8pm). Immediate start available once criminal background clearance is obtained.
Responsibilities
- Operate, optimize, and changeover assigned production and packaging equipment
- Consistently meet or exceed productivity, quality, safety, and waste reduction targets
- Perform quality checks and record all production, downtime, and inspection data accurately
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions to technical personnel promptly
- Use SAP to track batch numbers and correctly label and stamp all products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift (general housekeeping)
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and Quality Systems Requirements (QSR)
- Support team operations and complete additional tasks as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar production or assembly environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Able to pass an eye exam
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP or similar production tracking systems
- Previous work in the Sharps or medical device industry
