Assembler 1, General - G Shift (Sumter, SC)
About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as an Assembler 1, General, supporting the fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging of high-quality medical devices. This contractor position offers a unique 3-2-2-3 shift schedule (12-hour shifts, 8am-8pm) ensuring extended time off and work-life balance. Be a vital part of a collaborative environment where your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly impact patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and automated assembly, fabrication, and packaging of medical devices
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
- Conduct quality inspections following strict SOPs and quality guidelines
- Rotate through various tasks and responsibilities to support production needs
- Accurately read and interpret specifications and perform basic math calculations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to follow written specifications in English
- Basic math and measurement tool proficiency (e.g., microscopes)
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work varying schedules as needed
- Successful eye exam required
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in medical device manufacturing
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes
