    Description

Lead the Engineering of Industry-Recognized Boiler Systems

At Precision Boilers in Morristown, TN (45 minutes northeast of Knoxville), we build electric and fuel‑fired hot water boilers and steam generators, plus accessories including deaerators and blowdown tanks. Since 1946—when our first product was a sump pump—we’ve grown into a state‑of‑the‑art operation known for the High Voltage Jet (HVJ) Electrode Boiler and a stable, well‑trained workforce.

    Your Day, Your Impact

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll guide a tight‑knit group of engineers and mechanical designers to deliver projects on time and to spec—while shaping the next wave of innovative products. In the morning, you’ll align with Sales and Manufacturing to set priorities and build production schedules. Through the day, you’ll balance technical leadership with hands‑on engineering: advising designers in SolidWorks, reviewing and creating 3D models and 2D drawings (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), selecting components, and generating BOMs. You’ll perform calculations for tanks and pressure piping, collaborate with vendors to introduce cost‑effective components, and support in‑process product inspections.

Afternoons may find you bolstering our ASME Quality Control System, pushing Continuous Improvement Initiatives to streamline procedures, and partnering with Project Management as the Mechanical Design SME for customer questions. You’ll also invest in your team—coaching, developing training plans, conducting reviews, and ensuring an equitable workplace where everyone is respected.
