ASL Interpreter

Responsibilities: Responsible for facilitating communication between students who are deaf/hard of hearing and those individuals involved in the educational process through the use of sign language, oral interpreting, real time captioning, and/or other communication resources needed to accommodate hearing impaired students who are qualified to receive these services. Meaningful Impact: Play a pivotal role in the lives of children and their families by helping them overcome challenges and achieve milestones in speech, physical, occupational, or ABA therapy.

Overview:

HealthPro Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity available for a Float ASL Interpreter (American Sign Language)!

 

• Float ASL Interpreter - may service multiple schools in the area
• Part Time - 10 hours/week
• W-2 position | $38-$41/hour

Responsibilities:

Responsible for facilitating communication between students who are deaf/hard of hearing and those individuals involved in the educational process through the use of sign language, oral interpreting, real time captioning, and/or other communication resources needed to accommodate hearing impaired students who are qualified to receive these services.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• National Interpreter Certification (NIC), Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), National Association of the Deaf (NAD), Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), or an educator’s certificate
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a deaf related field
• Experience in a similar position
