ASL Educational Interpreter - Clarksville High School

Clarksville School District is accepting applications for an ASL Educational Interpreter to work with a high school student.

The following are essential duties for this position:

  • Interpret oral communication into sign language in classes
  • Facilitate communication among students, classroom teachers, and other personnel in the school district.
  • Convey the content of the message clearly and accurately according to the receptive language level of the student.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information
  • Previous educational interpreting preferred

Minimum standards:

  • Must hold a valid interpreter's license issued by the Arkansas Department of Health;

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; and

  • Hold at least a:

  • 3.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA); or

  • Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) 3/3 (transliterating /interpreting).

Salary is based on the Classified Employees - Interpreter for the Deaf salary schedule posted on the district website.
