ASIC Sales Leader

Our client is seeking an experienced ASIC sales leader with a strong semiconductor engineering background to grow our North American AI infrastructure business. This role will drive opportunities from customer engagement and technical discussions through commercial negotiations and design wins.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop business with hyperscaler customers focused on AI infrastructure.

• Understand customers’ custom silicon requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to develop competitive ASIC solutions.

• Lead RFQs, proposals, pricing, commercial negotiations, and deal closure.

• Build long-term customer relationships and actively participate in the Bay Area semiconductor and AI ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Extensive semiconductor industry experience, including a substantial engineering foundation and at least 5 years of ASIC sales or business development experience.

• Experience managing RFQs, pricing, and commercial negotiations for ASIC opportunities.

• Strong technical understanding of:

  • Foundry technology: TSMC process technologies, roadmap, and differentiation across process nodes.

  • Interface IP: HBM, high-speed SerDes, PCIe, and other interfaces relevant to AI accelerators.

  • Advanced packaging: CoWoS, EMIB, and related technologies and trade-offs.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Must reside full-time in San Jose. Relocation is welcome.

Preferred Qualifications

• A proven track record of ASIC design wins.

• Experience developing business with hyperscaler customers in AI infrastructure.

• Familiarity with physical design and the development flow from RTL or netlist handoff through GDSII and tape-out.
