Description:
- Develop and implement physical design solutions for SoC devices using RTL, netlists, and design constraints provided by engineering teams.
- Utilize EDA tools, automation scripts, and computerized design equipment for physical implementation activities.
- Perform floorplanning, power grid design, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and timing closure.
- Conduct physical verification to ensure design integrity and implementation quality.
- Analyze design quality and troubleshoot physical implementation issues throughout the design cycle.
- Verify completed layouts meet performance, power, area, and manufacturability (PPA) requirements.
- Review and enhance physical design methodologies and implementation flows.
- Validate physical design processes and methodologies to ensure efficient and reliable implementation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design, timing, power, and physical implementation challenges.
- Support tapeout activities and ensure designs are ready for final manufacturing.
- Requires 10 years of relevant physical design / ASIC / SoC experience.
