Job Description Summary
ASC Promotions Coordinators are responsible for initiating meaningful interactions with La Verne students, faculty, and staff, connecting them with the resources and services offered by the Academic Success Center via social media, digital and print content, promotions and outreach efforts, and ASC events. ASC Promotions Coordinators engage in outreach and promotions, aiming to enhance ASC utilization, ASC messaging, and community access to ASC supports and offerings.
Specific Duties
Generate lively and relevant activity and interactions on social media.
Create original ASC social media content, including campaigns, educational content, and efforts aimed at increasing ASC utilization.
Interact with and increase ASC's social media following on all relevant platforms, engaging in collaborative posting, equitably resharing content from the university community, and engaging efforts to increase ASC following.
Record (photos, videos, and audio) and share ASC events and service offerings with the campus community
Design and disseminate print and digital promotional material using Canva, TikTok, Instagram and other relevant platforms. Contribute to designing departmental newsletters for internal and external purposes, as well as ASC reporting templates for the campus community and relevant stakeholders.
Plan, coordinate, and execute promotional events for the ASC, including conducting class visits and outreach efforts to promote ASC services.
Generate ideas and implement relevant ASC events that are aligned with ASC current priorities and strategic efforts to enhance engagement.
Interact with the students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders at events and class visits, promoting buy-in, engagement, and utilization of ASC supports
Design, coordinate and implement ASC themed displays and decorations (ASC Tri-Board, space décor, posters and flyers for the space and campus community, etc.
Collaborate with ASC staff to gain familiarity and understanding of ASC supports and promotional and outreach needs.
Other duties as assigned by the Director and/or ASC professional staff

Benefits Summary
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
