Our nationwide practice affords us the opportunity to make a difference on a broad scale, and we are looking for colleagues who share our passion.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Asbestos Litigation Paralegal to support our growing Illinois Asbestos practice. This role is ideal for a paralegal with prior asbestos or complex personal injury litigation experience who is highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing cases in a fast-paced environment.This position will be remote to start, with the expectation that the paralegal will commute to and work from our Chicago office once it opens. Candidates must be based in the Chicago area or able to reliably commute to Chicago when the office becomes operational.You WillSupport attorneys in all phases of asbestos litigation from intake through resolutionDraft, format, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responsesPrepare and manager service lists, authorizations, subpoenas and correspondenceMonitor court dockets and ensure all filing deadlines and response dates are accurately calendaredCommunicate with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel as neededMaintain and organize case files, medical records, and exposure documentation in our case management system (SmartAdvocate)You Have2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in personal injury, mass tort, or asbestos litigation (asbestos litigation highly preferred)Experience with Odyssey E-Filing and/or File & Serve IllinoisProficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems (SmartAdvocate, Litify, etc)Our BenefitsComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance PlansPaid Time OffCommuter Transit ProgramRetirement PlanSalary Range: $65k-80kThe quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.#J-18808-Ljbffr
