Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand functional and technical requirements.
• Work with business and capability teams to discuss, clarify, and refine requirements.
• Guide the development team while contributing to hands-on development.
• Design, build, configure, test, and debug AS400 COBOL applications.
• Partner with team members to build robust, efficient, and effective solutions.
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize existing applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Lead teams working in an onshore/offshore delivery model.
• Work within a team focused on continuous integration, improvement, and learning.
• Contribute to the team's technology roadmap from both functional and technical perspectives.
• Coordinate with clients for requirement clarification and solution discussions.
• Communicate effectively with business users and take ownership of assigned project tasks.
• Adhere to application development and quality standards.
• Work independently and effectively manage assigned responsibilities.

AS400 / COBOL Development Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug applications running on the AS400/iSeries platform.
• Develop and maintain applications using:
  • COBOL
  • COBOL/400
  • ILE COBOL
  • CL/CLLE
  • RPG
  • SQL
• Analyze and create programs using COBOL, SQLCOBOL, CBLLE, and CLP/CLLE.
• Analyze and modify complex SQL queries.
• Develop and maintain embedded SQL in SQLCOBOL.
• Work with cursor programming and advanced SQL concepts.
• Create and analyze:
  • Physical Files
  • Logical Files
  • SQL Tables
  • Indexes
  • Views
  • Stored Procedures
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing AS400 applications.

Healthcare / PBM Skills

• Experience in the Healthcare or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) domain is desirable.
• Functional knowledge of RxClaim is preferred.
• At least 1 year of recent RxClaim experience preferred, particularly the Extract Module.
• Experience with healthcare/PBM applications is a plus.

Additional Technical Skills

• SYNON: Minimum 3 years of experience preferred.
• RPG: Experience with RPG/SYNON is desirable.
• DB2400 / DB2 for i: Strong experience required.
• SQL: Strong knowledge of complex SQL, embedded SQL, and cursor programming.
• ACMS/MOM: Hands-on experience preferred.
