Job Title: AS/400 Developer
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid/Onsite )
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled AS/400 Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in RPG programming and related AS/400 technologies. This position involves development, testing, support, and documentation in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using AS/400 technologies: RPG400, RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE
- Define test plans and conduct unit and string testing
- Provide post-implementation support and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues based on their impact and urgency
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Present technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive hands-on experience with AS/400 platform, including:
- RPG400, RPGILE, CLLE, SQL400, SQLRPGLE, DB2/400
- Strong knowledge of change management tools
such as:
- TURNOVER, TAATOOL, HAWKEYE
- Familiarity with Web Service development on AS/400 is preferred
- Understanding of Integrated File System (IFS)
and AS/400 networking concepts
- Experience in application design, complex coding, and application testing
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of technology architecture principles
- Proven ability to create and maintain technical documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Travel domain is a plus
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
