ART DIRECTOR(Hybrid/On-site)Position FunctionWe're looking for a strategic and hands-on Art director to help define and lead the visual direction of SawStop's brand, campaign, and digital experiences. This role blends creative vision with execution to ensure the team delivers creative that is strong, consistent, and resonates with professional and hobbyist woodworkers alike.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the Art Director include, but are not limited to:Creative Strategy & Direction – Help to establish the creative direction for all brand and campaign initiatives.Leadership – Lead, review, and provide constructive feedback on design work from the internal team and external partners. Stay current on best practices and trends to ensure the brand continues to evolve and stay current.Collaboration – Partner closely with other members of the team to execute cohesive campaigns.Concepting – Create content and campaigns that tell the story of our brand and products in a compelling way that resonate with our target audience.Execution – Ensure consistency and quality for all materials developed across all channels and touchpoints including digital, print, video, retail, and events. Manage priorities and workflows for multiple projects to ensure work is delivered on schedule.Brand Stewardship – Own brand guidelines, design frameworks, and their documentation. Stay current on best practices and trends to ensure the brand continues to evolve and stay current.Qualifications8+ years of professional experience in visual design, with additional art direction or creative leadership experienceA strong portfolio demonstrating creative leadership and showcasing product or brand campaigns across multiple channelsSkilled at storytelling, with the ability to create persuasive narratives that drive audience engagement and action – both visually and in writingExpertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with CRMs (HubSpot specifically), Sketchup, and video editing tools a plusSkilled in visual design, layout, typography, and brand systemsExperience with photography and video production directionAbility to think strategically while also being a part of the execution teamExcellent communication skills with the ability to give clear, actionable feedbackFamiliarity with woodworking a plus, but not requiredCompany OverviewSawStop is the world leader in power tool safety.Headquartered in Tualatin, Oregon, we design, engineer, and manufacture innovative power tools and accessories for the commercial and hobbyist woodworking markets.
