Job Summary
Seeking a professional, VA DCJS licensed Armed Security Officer to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide a safe and secure environment. You will patrol assigned premises; protect assets, staff, and the general public; deter any illegal or inappropriate activity; respond to emergencies and summon proper authorities as required. The ideal candidate has experience with public safety and security. 

Responsibilities 

• Patrol the premises and maintain a high level of visibility.
• Monitor entrances and exits to ensure guests, and patrons access the site in accordance with policies.
• Remove trespassers when necessary.
• Respond to inquiries from general public.
• Respond to reports of suspicious activity.
• Complete daily activity reports and document any incidents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is required
• Valid VA Department of Criminal Justice armed security registration required
• High school diploma/GED
• Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
• Strong written communication skills and report writing ability
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.

Compensation

Full Time Employees (40 Hrs.)

-  50K/year with Health Benefits.
- 1 week vacation after 1 year of employment; 2 weeks after 2 years of employment

Part-Time Employees (30 Hrs. or less)

- $23/Hour (no health benefits or vacation)
