As an Airport Law Enforcement Officer - Armed in Honolulu HI, you'll serve on the front line of aviation security-ensuring public safety, safeguarding airport facilities, and upholding the spirit of aloha through professional service. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to support a positive atmosphere. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your responsibilities. You will also provide exceptional customer service and communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.
Position Type: Full Time - Overnight
Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs:
No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions.
Knowledge and Skills Required:

Responsibilities:
Physical Requirements and Environment:
Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all duties required for their assigned Post/duties.
In good physical health and be fully capable of performing normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion such as standing, walking patrolling for an entire shift(s), climbing stairs, running and self-defense.
Ability to perform essential physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
Lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (e.g., fire extinguisher) for a designated distance.
Assisting in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or providing support to persons with limited mobility.
Subject to a random drug screen.
Must be able to exercise physical force, if required, in the execution of their official duties.
Be able to successfully pass a security background check conducted by the DOTA pass and ID office.
Well-groomed and neat in appearance as officially commissioned representatives of the State.
Pass and complete a one-time physical examination within the past 6 months.
Pass a 12-panel drug test and pass all future random drug testing.
Correctable, vision to 20/30 each eye with normal color vision.
Able to hear at a normal conversational level. A hearing aid may be used to.
