    Location: Chicago, IL (On-site)

    Compensation: $61,000-$70,000 base, plus profit sharing and a revenue kicker bonus, full benefits, and 401(k) with company match and non-elective employer contribution

    Employment: Full-time, permanent (direct hire)

    An established, route-based service company is hiring an Area Service Manager to lead service operations and grow revenue across its local area. This is the principal service leadership role for the area: keeping customers satisfied, renewing contracts, and growing the business.

    What You'll Own

    - Lead a multi-tier service team (managers, supervisors, and route service representatives), including recruiting, hiring, coaching, reviews, and accountability

    - Meet regularly with key customers to assess service levels, uncover needs, and drive corrective actions

    - Retain and grow the customer base through relationship-building and contract renewals

    - Hit area goals for budget, customer retention, revenue and profit growth, and material control

    - Help set area pricing and contract-term strategy by market segment

    - Protect company resources including team, material, and fleet, and step in operationally when routes need coverage

    What You'll Bring

    - Proven leadership of a large, multi-tier service team including supervisors and front-line reps, with full accountability up to terminations

    - Direct recruiting, interviewing, and hiring experience

    - Ownership of operational metrics: budget, customer retention, revenue/profit growth, and/or material control

    - Strong negotiation and customer-facing communication

    - A valid driver's license with a clean driving record

    - Willingness to work 48-52 hours per week with occasional Saturdays

    Nice to Have

    - Uniform, linen, or medical-laundry route-service background (strong leaders from logistics or field service, such as FedEx-style operations, also do well here)

    - College degree

    Note: this role requires passing a background check and a hair-follicle drug test (no THC).
