Location: Detroit, MI

American First Finance (AFF) is seeking a motivated and results-driven Area Sales Representative to grow our merchant network, develop new business opportunities, and build lasting relationships throughout the assigned territory.

COMPENSATION 

Base Salary + Uncapped Commission 

On-Target Earnings (OTE): $65,000 - $110,000+ annually

Top performers have the opportunity to exceed OTE through commission earnings.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchant partners
• Prospect and develop new business opportunities throughout your assigned territory
• Conduct in-person visits to 8-10 merchant locations daily
• Secure 10+ new merchant partnerships each month
• Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and performance expectations
• Utilize CRM tools to track activity, manage leads, and support business growth
• Partner with Marketing, Training, and Sales Operations teams to maximize results

• Deliver outstanding service and support to merchant partners
  
  
  
  What We’re Looking For 

• 1+ year of successful B2B outside sales experience
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Strong face-to-face selling, relationship-building, and closing skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented mindset
• Ability to independently manage a territory and sales pipeline
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance

Territory & Travel Expectations 

This is a field-based sales role requiring regular travel throughout an assigned territory and in-person visits with current and prospective merchant partners.

Candidates should be comfortable spending the majority of their time in the field building relationships, developing new business, and supporting existing accounts.
