This role ensures the safe, cost-effective, and efficient delivery of refuse and recycling services while leading a diverse team in both field and office settings. This position plays a vital role in connecting field teams, office staff, and customers. Flexibility, integrity, and a proactive mindset are essential. Duties and responsibilities may evolve based on operational needs.Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role, preferably in waste management, logistics, trucking, construction, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and operational systems.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License (CDL preferred).
  • Ability to lead in the field and office environments.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor field and office teams.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive work culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
Hiring & Training
  • Work with HR to identify staffing needs, recruit talent, and onboard new hires.
  • Provide structured training, orientation, and ongoing employee development.
Operations & Fleet Maintenance Oversight
  • Monitor daily routes, field operations, transfer station operations, and customer service activities.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Conduct field visits with personnel and lead safety meetings.
  • Manage area maintenance activities to ensure fleet is running reliably and being maintained to company and manufacturer standards.
Customer & Community Relations
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients.
  • Resolve service issues and foster long-term customer relationships.
  • Support sales efforts and help grow market presence.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain regulatory records (e.g., DOT compliance, CDPHE reporting, OSHA).
  • Conduct audits and ensure documentation accuracy.
Financial Management
  • Manage budget, control costs, and track performance against Profit & Loss targets.
  • Assist with capital planning and fleet management.
