    Area Director of Sales & Marketing – Downtown Destination Portfolio

    Location: Regional Downtown Core (Full-time, On-site)

    Target Base Salary: $160,000 + Incentive Eligibility & Benefits

    We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Area Director of Sales and Marketing to lead revenue growth across the Marriott branded properties, and an exciting collection of restaurant and event venues. This is an opportunity to shape a centralized sales organization, tell a stronger portfolio story, and turn the energy of downtown market and its arena district into measurable commercial results.

    What You’ll Lead

    • Create and execute one integrated sales and marketing strategy across the portfolio.
    • Build, coach, and energize a proactive cluster sales team with clear goals and accountability.
    • Accelerate corporate, association, SMERF, group, catering, and local event business.
    • Transform meeting rooms, private dining areas, terraces, lounges, and social spaces into productive revenue channels.
    • Develop relationships with employers, universities, event organizers, sports groups, and community partners throughout the Lehigh Valley.
    • Partner with revenue management, operations, food and beverage, and property leadership on pricing, positioning, forecasting, and promotions.
    • Use account plans, market-segment strategies, performance reviews, and sales metrics to turn opportunity into consistent results.

    What You Bring

    • Five or more years of progressive hotel sales leadership, including cluster or multi-property responsibility.
    • A track record of growing group, catering, negotiated corporate, and total portfolio revenue.
    • Experience building or reshaping a sales team and creating a culture of proactive account development.
    • Full-service and lifestyle hotel experience; Marriott, Renaissance, or Moxy experience is preferred.
    • Strong commercial judgment, coaching ability, financial acumen, and cross-functional leadership skills.
    • market knowledge or the ability to quickly build meaningful local relationships is a plus.
