Every city needs a proper place to stay. Proper Hospitality builds them: design-led hotels, residences, restaurants, and bars, each one written from its own neighborhood out. The portfolio is growing, and the commercial team is growing with it.
The Role
Great rooms don't sell themselves at the right price. That's your job.
The Area Director of Revenue Management owns the revenue strategy across multiple Proper Hospitality hotels, today's and tomorrow's. You'll set pricing, shape inventory, and read demand market by market, so each hotel earns what it should without losing what makes it Proper. Every property is site-specific, and your strategy will be too.
You'll work alongside Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, and you'll lead a team of revenue professionals. As new hotels join the portfolio, you'll build the frameworks that let them open strong.
What You'll Do
Set the strategy
- Build and run a revenue strategy across rooms, F&B, events, and ancillary services for each hotel in your portfolio
- Find the opportunity in pricing, inventory, and segmentation, using market demand, competitive position, and guest behavior
- Create dynamic pricing models that protect both revenue and brand integrity
- Define pricing guidelines with leadership, and build repeatable frameworks that carry to new properties
Read the numbers
- Track KPIs, spot trends early, and turn data into decisions
- Forecast demand from historical patterns, booking behavior, and market conditions
- Present revenue performance to senior leadership, including the risks, not only the wins

- Give Sales and Marketing the pricing and inventory guidance behind promotions and campaigns
- Bring operational realities into every pricing decision
- Be a trusted advisor to General Managers and property leadership

- Lead short-term and long-term revenue forecasts, and keep them current as actuals come in

- Support pre-opening revenue planning for new hotels, including positioning, rate strategy, and opening forecasts
Lead the team
- Coach and develop revenue professionals across the portfolio
- Teach pricing principles and analytical technique
- Set clear goals, review performance regularly, and give feedback that's useful
Own the tools
