Position Summary: Rebel Hotel Company is seeking an experienced Area Director of Human Resources to oversee all human resources functions for Delta Hotels Woodbridge and Hilton East Brunswick Hotel & Executive Meeting Center. Based primarily at Delta Hotels Woodbridge, this hybrid leadership role serves as a strategic business partner to hotel leadership while ensuring compliance, consistency, and operational excellence across both properties. The successful candidate will have significant experience in unionized hospitality environments, strong HRIS proficiency, and the ability to support fast-paced lifestyle hotel operations. This role requires prior hospitality HR and payroll experience in a unionized hotel environment. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse associate population is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational HR leadership for two full-service hotels.
  • Partner with General Managers and department leaders on employee relations, workforce planning, organizational development, and performance management.
  • Administer collective bargaining agreements and provide guidance on union-related matters, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding, retention, and associate engagement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and labor regulations.
  • Oversee HRIS administration, reporting, compliance tracking, and workforce analytics.
  • Support leadership development and training initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Partner with Corporate HR and Labor Relations on policy implementation and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend solutions to improve retention, productivity, and associate satisfaction.

Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive hospitality human resources experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a unionized hotel environment required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of New Jersey labor and employment laws.
  • Strong experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and workforce management platforms.
  • Experience supporting multiple hotel locations preferred.
  • Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
  • Branded, full-service hotel experience in preferred.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $130,000 annually
