The Area Coach has the overall responsibility for overseeing the operations of multiple restaurants, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting, retention, and training of team members, financial accountability, ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer and other duties as required or assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Run Great Restaurants:
xe2x80xa2 Coach highest standards of product quality
xe2x80xa2 Teach and coach RGMs to run great restaurants
xe2x80xa2 Role model strong operational and customer-focused leadership during peak revenue periods
xe2x80xa2 Coach to ensure all restaurants are clean and safe
xe2x80xa2 Coach to ensure schedules are written that balance the needs of the RGM, customers, and shareholders
xe2x80xa2 Identify and eliminate barriers to customer service; ensure all customer issues are resolved
xe2x80xa2 Be responsible for restaurant results
Build Great Teams
xe2x80xa2 Recruit and select qualified team members using PHLLC tools/systems
xe2x80xa2 Coach and develop the management teams of each restaurant on key operations and customer service
xe2x80xa2 Proactively ensure a competent management team and pipeline/bench is in place in each restaurant
xe2x80xa2 Coach, support, and improve the performance of each RGM
xe2x80xa2 Reward, recognize, and motivate team members. Provide feedback and support team members.
xe2x80xa2 Provide strong 2-way communication
xe2x80xa2 Teach Shift Management and Building Restaurant Excellence (BRE) courses.
xe2x80xa2 Facilitate transition of management trainees to home restaurants
xe2x80xa2 Hold people accountable and is personally accountable; drafts and delivers progressive disciplinary documentation where necessary
xe2x80xa2 Is a highly visible coach to the restaurant teams
xe2x80xa2 Use teamwork to ensure the success of all restaurants. Listens to and supports others.
Grow Pizza Hut
xe2x80xa2 Role model sales growth mentality for restaurant teams
xe2x80xa2 Coaches to ensure each restaurant has the proper resources and is effectively managing in-store retailing
xe2x80xa2 Coaches to ensure each restaurant is executing effective neighborhood marketing activities
xe2x80xa2 Manage large orders (i.e. catering) throughout their assigned area
xe2x80xa2 Facilitate local store marketing programs to grow sales (ex. School lunch programs and fundraisers)
Make Plan
xe2x80xa2 Coach RGMs on how to analyze their RPMs and prioritize actions
xe2x80xa2 Facilitate and coordinate resources for effective asset management
xe2x80xa2 Conduct business reviews
xe2x80xa2 Analyze reports and respond to business trends
xe2x80xa2 Teach/coach RGMs to understand and manage their financial reports
xe2x80xa2 Coach all restaurants to achieve profit plan objectives

SUPERVISION
Works under the supervision of a Region Coach. Supervises all Restaurant General Managers of the restaurants in their assigned area.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
xe2x80xa2 Must be at least 18 years of age
xe2x80xa2 High school diploma or GED preferred
xe2x80xa2 Valid food handler's card (where required by law)
xe2x80xa2 Current Serv Safe Certification
xe2x80xa2 Certification as a Serv Safe Proctor greatly preferred
xe2x80xa2 Completed Pizza Hut's online training program and attended the corresponding classes
xe2x80xa2 Valid driver's license and state minimum automobile insurance
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
xe2x80xa2 Excellent oral and written communication
xe2x80xa2 Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
xe2x80xa2 Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills
xe2x80xa2 4+ years supervisory experience in either a food service or retail environment preferred, including Profit & Loss responsibility
xe2x80xa2 Physical dexterity required (the ability to lift up to 40 pounds)
xe2x80xa2 Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to operate a personal computer; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to work independently to carry out assigned projects to their completion within time constraints; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, Area Coaches and RSC team.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
xe2x80xa2 Knowledge of budget planning and the ability to adhere to a budget.

Additional compensation for this position includes:
xe2x80xa2 $80,169 - $97,000 base salary
xe2x80xa2 Performance bonuses, based on the performance of the restaurant(s) assigned to the team member. (Bonuses are not guaranteed)
