Location:201 Eubank NE Ste3A, Albuquerque, NM 87123
An Off-Campus Work-Study Position - MUST have a Work-Study Award.
The Museum of the American Military Family & Learning Center (MAMF) is a small nationally recognized award-winning museum dedicated to preserving American military family history. MAMF is led by an all-volunteer board of directors and provides an excellent opportunity for a work-study student to get practical hands-on experience in all aspects of Museum operations.
MAMF's special collections library consists of more than 2,200 volumes by and about military personnel, military family members, and military events. The collections include first-hand oral and written histories, photos, and documents of family members from all service branches and federally-connected civil servants and educators, and artifacts dating from pre-American Revolutionary War to present. Currently in transition, and mostly in boxes, the museum has relocated to Albuquerque into its "WorkSpace." It needs to be unpacked and set up. For continuity, we would like to employ a student who is willing to make a multi-semester commitment.''
