In this pivotal leadership role, you will hold ultimate accountability for project delivery, serving as the strategic bridge between our executive leadership, project teams, and clients. What You Will Do
Project Guidance & Big-Picture Oversight
- Advise & Steer: Guide Project Managers and Assistants through overall project development, envelope decisions, and technical detailing.
- Champion the Client: Attend critical budget meetings, contractor interviews, and official code meetings to ensure team goals align with client needs.
- On-Site & Evaluation: Participate in project pin-ups prior to deadlines and conduct monthly site visits for large-scale projects during Construction Administration.
- Consultant Accountability: Ensure external consultants meet strict project deadlines and deliverables.
People Leadership & Professional Development
- Mentor the Team: Set clear expectations, provide continuous coaching, and manage individual growth plans.
- Train Future Leaders: Host regular training sessions—including our Friday PM meetings—and allow PMs to shadow your workflow.
- Conduct Check-Ins: Formally monitor team performance 3–4 times a year through structured development plans.
Operations, Finances & Client Management
- Financial Management: Utilize Ajera to monitor project fees, analyze performance, maximize profitability, and immediately course-correct if budgets stray.
- Resource Staffing: Set overall team schedules, manage project staffing, and collaborate with peer Team Leads to balance firm-wide staff availability.
- Client Relations: Manage high-level client satisfaction and step in directly to navigate significant budget or scope changes.
- Direct Execution: Personally manage select small-to-medium projects, while providing oversight to PMs running larger accounts.
