Responsibilities:
- Maintain, edit, and establish new standard specifications sections. Maintain the in-house library of manufacturer"s products and systems.
- Review construction documents to establish material selection and prepare technical project specifications.
- Perform a QA/QC review of project documentation, redline construction documents prior to the project bid advertisement to minimize change orders.
- Prepare addenda during the project bidding period to clarify and modify the bid documents in accordance with NJ bidding law requirements.
- Assists with scheduling lunch & learn seminars with manufacturer representatives to educate the technical staff about new and current products and systems.
- Schedule and meet with manufacturer"s representatives to understand material and system changes and updates in the industry.
- At least 3 years of construction administration experience or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of all types of construction related project documentation.
- Knowledge of construction industry contract administration and AIA documents.
- Experience in moderate to large scale commercial or institutional projects is required. K-12 experience is preferable.
- Computer Programs: must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe programs at a minimum.
