Location: Eugene, Oregon (Territory-Based Role)

Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Quarterly Compensation Plan

Position Summary

We are seeking a driven, disciplined sales professional who thrives on growing market share through both new business development and strong account management.

This role is focused on developing relationships within the architectural, design, contractor, and property management communities in Eugene and surrounding areas. You will build specifications, drive product pull-through, manage active projects, and grow both new and existing accounts.

If you are a natural closer who can build pipeline, influence specifications, organize projects with precision, and turn relationships into long-term revenue, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Consistently prospect and develop new business within the architectural, commercial, and contractor segments
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, general contractors, painting contractors, and facility decision-makers
Promote and secure product specifications on commercial and residential projects
Track projects from specification through completion to ensure successful conversion to sales
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate product systems and solutions
Conduct product presentations, job-site visits, and lunch-and-learns to influence specification and purchasing decisions
Collaborate with store, operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Use digital sales tools (CRM, Outlook, Teams, ERP systems) daily to manage pipeline and customer activity
Negotiate pricing within company guidelines while maintaining strategic margins
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and account updates
Stay informed on local construction activity, industry trends, and competitive products
Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

What We're Looking For

Proven hunter with 3–5+ years of outside B2B sales experience (architectural coatings, building materials, construction products, or related industry preferred)
Experience calling on architects, designers, contractors, or commercial accounts
Strong relationship-building and networking skills
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a territory-based role
Disciplined CRM user with strong pipeline management skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active projects
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Technical knowledge of paint systems, substrates, and application methods is a strong plus
Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory

What We Offer

Competitive base salary + Quarterly Compensation Plan
Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match
Monday–Friday schedule
Established regional brand with strong reputation
Autonomy to grow and develop your territory
Ongoing product and industry training

This Role Is NOT for You If…

You wait to be told what to do
You rely solely on inbound leads and avoid proactive outreach
You struggle to manage a sales pipeline consistently
You prefer a passive account maintenance role instead of driving growth
You are uncomfortable calling on architects or influencing specifications
