Architectural Project Manager

Residential Home Building | Confidential Search

A well-established residential home builder is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to lead its architectural production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a background in residential architecture and construction documentation to join a growing organization with long-term leadership potential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the architectural production process from design through construction documents.

  • Maintain master plan libraries, drawing standards, and plan revisions.

  • Coordinate with Sales, Design, Purchasing, Engineering, and Construction to ensure accurate, buildable plans.

  • Review structural details, truss layouts, and construction documents for quality and accuracy.

  • Lead and mentor a small team of architectural designers and drafters.

  • Ensure projects meet production schedules, building codes, and company quality standards.

  • Drive continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce field revisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Drafting/Design Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 7+ years of residential architectural drafting, design, or production experience.

  • Leadership experience within a residential homebuilding environment.

  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, construction documents, and building codes.

  • Proficiency with Revit preferred; AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other BIM/CAD software are a plus.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
