Well established company is seeking an Architectural Designer / Project Architect to join its collaborative design team. This is an exciting opportunity for an architectural professional who enjoys working on diverse commercial and retail projects while growing their career in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Whether you're an emerging designer or an experienced architect, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects from concept through construction while working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities of the Architectural Designer / Project Architect will include:
- Develop architectural designs for a variety of commercial and retail projects
- Prepare construction documents and project drawings
- Assist with site planning, space planning, and building design
- Prepare and manage project schedules
- Coordinate project communication with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with internal project teams and assign project tasks as appropriate
- Prepare sketches and markups to support project development
- Review and coordinate construction documents throughout various project milestones
- Coordinate project activities with engineering and consulting teams
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Support projects from design through completion while maintaining quality and project objectives
Qualifications for the role of Architectural Designer / Project Architect:
Required:
- Architecture degree
- 1–10+ years of professional architectural experience
- Knowledge of New York State Building Codes and ADA requirements
- Proficiency with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Photoshop
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong design aptitude and creative abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to the Albany, NY area
