    ARCHITECTURAL AND SPECIFICATIONS SPECIALIST - SOUTHWEST REGION

    Preferred Home Base: Dallas, Texas

    Field-Based Role, Up to 30% travel including overnight

    We are seeking an ARCHITECTURAL AND SPECIFICATIONS SPECIALIST to expand ARDEX's presence within the architectural and design community throughout TEXAS and the SOUTHWESTREGION, focusing on DALLAS, HOUSTON, and AUSTIN, with a preferred home-base location of DALLAS, TEXAS. This highly visible role combines specification development, technical expertise, business development, and strategic relationship management to influence project outcomes and drive long-term growth.

    Drive Specifications and Project Opportunities

    • Identify and secure ARDEX specifications on commercial construction projects
    • Influence product selection and specification decisions through presentations, educational meetings, and project consultation
    • Develop opportunities with key market segments including: Healthcare, Education, Hospitality, Retail, Commercial Construction, Prefabrication and Modular Construction

    Build Strategic Industry Relationships

    • Develop strong partnerships with architects, designers, specification writers, engineers, and architectural firms
    • Engage key decision-makers including Directors of Construction, Architectural Managers, Design Leaders, and Specification Consultants
    • Become a trusted advisor and technical resource within the architectural community
    • Actively participate in industry associations, networking organizations, and professional events
      Track project opportunities from specification through construction

    Deliver Technical Expertise and Business Results

    • Conduct specification reviews and provide product recommendations
    • Support architects and design professionals with system selection and technical guidance
    • Collaborate closely with ARDEX sales, technical, and marketing teams to maximize project success
    • Utilize CRM and project tracking tools to manage accounts, specifications, and opportunities
    • Represent ARDEX at regional and national industry events, trade shows, and educational programs

    Required Experience:

    What You'll Bring

    We're looking for an energetic, customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing project decisions, and delivering value through specification and technical expertise.

    • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in architectural sales, specification sales, construction materials, building products, or a related commercial construction role
    • Knowledge of architectural specifications, commercial construction processes, and project influence strategies
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and key construction stakeholders
    • Strong presentation and communication skills
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
    • Experience managing multiple projects and business opportunities simultaneously
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
    • A high level of professionalism, initiative, and passion for helping customers succeed

    Requirements

    • Four-year college degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
    • Ability to travel throughout the territory up to 30%, including occasional overnight travel
    • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
    • Ability to travel by automobile and air as required
    • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds
