Description

Experienced Architect/Lead with strong expertise in Epicor ERP/APS, enterprise application development, and manufacturing scheduling automation. Responsible for analyzing complex business processes, designing scalable technical solutions, configuring and customizing Epicor scheduling modules, debugging existing code, and automating job scheduling, machine routing, and backlog planning. Leads projects end-to-end while collaborating with business users, functional consultants, developers, and technical stakeholders to improve system performance, planning accuracy, and operational efficiency.

  • Strong hands-on development experience with Epicor ERP/APS, specifically around scheduling module configuration and customization.
  • Proven ability to read, debug, and extend existing Epicor code - including working through complex, undocumented logic ("lines and lines of code") to resolve issues.
  • Experience automating manual scheduling processes, ideally in a manufacturing/production environment (job scheduling, machine routing, backlog planning).
  • Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of a development project, including scoping, planning, and delivery within a defined timeline.
  • Comfortable operating in a hybrid delivery model - partnering with a client's internal developer/architect as well as delivering solo when required.
  • Analyze Mastercraft's current manual Epicor scheduling process, including job scheduling logic, machine routing, and backlog management, to identify automation opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and implement Epicor scheduling automation, reducing manual effort, and improving planning accuracy.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and project teams during implementation and support phases.
  • Provide production support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation
  • Analyze business requirements and existing Epicor ERP/APS scheduling processes.
  • Design and develop automation solutions for job scheduling, machine routing, and backlog management.
  • Configure and customize Epicor scheduling modules based on business needs.
  • Read, debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing Epicor code.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve production planning accuracy.
  • Lead end-to-end development activities, including project scoping, planning, development, testing, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, developers, architects, and project teams.
  • Support a hybrid onsite/offshore or client/internal development delivery model.
  • Provide production support and resolve system, scheduling, and application issues.
  • Monitor application performance and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Develop technical documentation, design specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout project implementation and support phases.
