Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Staatsburg, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite
We are partnering with a growing organization in the Staatsburg area that is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Specialist to its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time
- Process customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card transactions
- Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on past-due balances
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate AR records and customer account information
- Prepare aging reports and assist with collections efforts
- Work closely with customers and internal departments to resolve payment issues
- Assist with month-end close, reporting, and account reconciliations
- Support other accounting projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
