LHH is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team in Richardson, TX. This role combines commercial collections, cash application, and credit review. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and skilled at resolving payment issues while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
Make professional, customer-focused collection calls while maintaining positive business relationships.
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, missing payments, and unapplied cash.
Apply customer payments accurately to the appropriate invoices and accounts.
Review credit applications, assist with new customer setup, and obtain required resale certificates.
Generate customer statements and monitor account activity.
Communicate with customers, field personnel, company leadership, and accounting teams to resolve account issues.
Maintain accurate account records and follow up on outstanding balances in a timely manner.
Qualifications
3+ years of related Accounts Receivable or collections experience, preferably in commercial collections.
Experience working in a high-volume, transactional environment.
Strong customer service and professional communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, sense of urgency, and follow-through.
Ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
AS400 experience preferred but not required.
Pay Details: $28.84 to $31.25 per hour
