AR/AP Specialist

The AR/AP Specialist will serve as lead on a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Analyze financial reports
• Maintain account balances and bank statements
• Assist with audits and taxes
• Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders
• Maintain the general ledger and assist with the month-end and year-end close processes
• Participate in the budget process
• Participate in regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Monitor business performance metrics
• Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing
• Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process new processes
• Coordinate and preparing internal and external financial statements
• Assist managers in understanding processes and interpreting financial information for successful, departmental results
