Description
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking an AR Analyst/AR Accountant responsible for analyzing financial transactions, performing complex account reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies across multiple systems and data sources. This role investigates issues from identification through root-cause analysis and resolution, prepares accounting adjustments, and partners with internal teams to improve financial accuracy, processes, and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial and transactional data to identify discrepancies, trends, and unusual activity
- Perform complex account reconciliations and investigate differences across multiple data sources
- Research invoices, payments, credits, adjustments, and other financial transactions
- Review supporting documentation to validate the accuracy of financial activity
- Trace transactions through accounting systems, reports, and supporting records
- Perform root-cause analysis and document findings clearly
- Identify missing, inaccurate, or inconsistent financial information
- Prepare accounting adjustments, corrections, and reclassifications
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Billing teams to resolve complex issues
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and isolate discrepancies
- Maintain supporting documentation for reconciliations, research, and adjustments
- Track outstanding issues through resolution and confirm corrective actions are completed
- Assist with month-end close, account analysis, and other accounting projects
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to reporting, processes, and internal controls
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, reconciliation, or a transaction-focused role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions
- Demonstrated experience performing complex reconciliations and discrepancy research
- Ability to manage discrepancies from identification through root-cause analysis and resolution
- Strong experience working with large volumes of transactional data
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize inconsistencies in financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex issues

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
