About the Role:
Blue Water Aquatics Inc is looking for a skilled and motivated Aquatic Spray Technician to join our team in New Port Richey, FL! This is a hands-on outdoor role where you'll play a vital part in keeping local waterways, ponds, and aquatic environments healthy and well-maintained. If you love working outside and have a passion for water resource management, we want to hear from you!



Responsibilities:
  • Apply aquatic herbicides and algaecides to lakes, ponds, and waterways using spray equipment
  • Identify and treat invasive aquatic vegetation and algae growth
  • Operate and maintain UTVs, spray boats, backpack sprayers, and other application equipment
  • Follow all state and federal regulations regarding aquatic pesticide application
  • Document treatment areas, chemical usage, and site conditions accurately using company field software
  • Communicate with clients and property managers regarding treatment schedules and results
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
Minimum Qualifications (Apply only if you meet the following):


  • Verifiable experience working outdoors in Florida’s hot, humid conditions
  • Previous experience in aquatic work, lawn spraying, landscaping, pest control
  • Solid math skills and a willingness to learn
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Comfortable working near and around water and Florida wildlife
  • Willing to apply EPA-approved herbicides/chemicals (training provided)
  • Interest in learning about Florida's ecosystem and its many aquatic plant species
  • Possess a valid Commercial Aquatic Applicator License or possess the ability to pass the Florida Commercial Core and Aquatic Applicator Certification Exams within six months (company-paid training and testing provided)
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Recent employment references
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., including carrying a full backpack on uneven terrain and working in remote areas
Ideal Candidate Will Also Have:


  • 2+ years of experience managing a customer route with pride in workmanship
  • Experience safely operating a pickup truck and trailer hauling an ATV, UTV, or small boat
  • Basic mechanical skills (a plus!)
