Aquatic Administrative Technician-Boise Y Swim Team

Our Boise Y Swim Team is seeking a Aquatic Administrative Technician to join the team! This position is responsible for providing administration and program management support for all home swim meets. This position is based out of our Downtown Boise YMCA.

The Boise Y Swim Team is a year-round competitive swimming program for young men and women six years of age and older. The team consists of 300 athletes, staffs 10 coaches, and operates in four facilities across the Treasure Valley. The Boise Y swim team competes within both YMCA and USA Swimming organizations, developing athletes that participate at all levels including local and regional competitors, and YMCA National, USA Swimming Junior and Senior National, and Olympic Trial qualifiers.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position at 20 hours weekly. Schedule requirements are supporting the following Boise Y Swim Team events:

• Thanksgiving Invitational, November 20-22, 2026.
• Candy Cane Invitational, December 19-20,2026.
• January Storm, January 8th OR 9th, 2027.
• Winter Invite, January 23-24, 2027.
• Idaho YMCA State Meet, February 5-7, 2027.
• Snake River Winter Championships, February 12-14, 2027.
• YMCA Regional Championships, March 5-7, 2027.

Additional dates through the end of 2027.

All meets will be held our West Boise YMCA and Boise City Aquatic Center

Responsibilities:

• Manage projects and databases for various areas as assigned.

• Assist with calendars, sets up meetings and replies to email/voice and correspondence as directed.

• Communicate meet information and logistics to visiting teams, coaches, and officials.

• Compile and distribute timer sheets, relay cards, heat sheets, and coaching packets.

• Post meet information, volunteer check-in details, and results as needed.

• Coordinate all aspects of the meet with the Head Coach, Administrative Coach, Meet Referee, and West Y aquatic staff.

• Direct volunteers responsible for meet setup, cleanup, marshaling, and individual award distribution.

• Work with aquatic staff on crowd management and overall meet operations.

Qualifications:

• Two years' experience providing administrative assistance support preferred.
• Must be able to differentiate between colors (red, yellow, blue and green).
• Aquatics background preferred.
• Knowledge or and/or expertise with computerized accounting systems and sound working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing.
• Strong knowledge of office equipment and computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ado and similar software.
