About the role
This is a day-based, direct-hire, salaried position within automotive manufacturing. You will be the point person ensuring that product and process quality meet standards from launch through shipment.
What you'll do
- Lead investigations of quality issues and drive corrective actions to completion.
- Oversee and maintain control plans, in-process inspections, and formal quality procedures.
- Mine quality data and SPC outputs to pinpoint trends and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare for and support customer, supplier, and internal audits.
- Review and approve quality documentation, product releases, deviations, and rework plans.
- Exercise authority to stop production when quality or safety is at risk.
Your toolkit
- ISO 9001 manufacturing Quality Engineering experience.
- Proficiency with 8D, FMEA, SPC, APQP, and PPAP methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication across teams.
