Call Center

Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc., a federally qualified community health center located in Durham, NC is recruiting for an Appointment Clerk. Durham is known as the Bull City, the City of Medicine, the Tastiest Town in the South, and the Startup Capital of the South. Its a two-hour drive from the beach, a three-hour drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and is North Carolinas fourth largest city by population. Along the East Coast, Durham is located conveniently along I-85. For those outside of driving distance, travel to and from is made easy as the City and County of Durham co-own the top-ranked Raleigh-Durham International Airport that services more than 45 nonstop destinations.

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY: Schedules appointments for the Adult Medicine and Pediatric Clinics. Performs general clerical work to facilitate the accurate and proficient scheduling to include follow-up calls.

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a working knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in scheduling appointments. Some judgment and initiative are required in the timely execution of the appointment system some clerical and ability to use computers is required. Ability to follow standard clerical and office procedures, write legibly, be polite and courteous to patients/staff and follow written guidelines. Fluent in English and Spanish.

KNOWLEDGE /EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Previous clerical experience preferred.
