Agency Website: www.dcjs.virginia.gov Recruitment Type: General Public - G VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES ADVERTISEMENT ROLE TITLE: Information Technology Specialist II       Working Title: Applications Support Analyst - Grants Systems (OGMS)      Pay Band: 5     Position #: 00382   The Department of Criminal Justice Services is seeking a collaborative and innovative team player to serve as a full-time Applications Support Analyst in Richmond, Virginia. This position supports the Division of Finance and Administration. The selected incumbent will be required to work in the office, with the eventual potential for a hybrid schedule in accordance with state and agency policies. What you will do: Provide support and act as the primary contact for issues related to the On-Line Grants Management System (OGMS). Provide application support and business/system analyst support for OGMS. Manage OGMS system integration with programs such as Cardinal, SAM.gov, and electronic signature systems. Troubleshoot system issues and determine root cause (user error, configuration issue, or system defect). Work with third party vendors to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner. Perform routine system administration tasks including updates to keys, certificates, and system settings. Coordinate with Grants Administration and vendor on system defects, enhancements, and upgrades. Coordinate with Grants Administration to manage system forms, alerts, and communications. Identify common user issues and develop targeted training or documentation to reduce support requests. Perform testing and validation of system changes prior to production release. Provide OGMS training to staff, including onboarding and advanced role-based training. Create and manage how-to manuals and videos to assist users with learning the system.  Provide backup agency desktop support. Crosstrain and support different systems within the agency.     Minimum Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise or SaaS-based applications Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills with ability to determine root cause of issues Experience managing user accounts, roles, permissions, and system configuration Experience working with software vendors to resolve system issues Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users Experience developing documentation, training materials, or knowledge base content Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Customer-focused mindset with strong service orientation Demonstrated proficiency in standard business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email, and web-based applications) Ability to think strategically and cross culturally, and independently implement new initiatives and projects. Ability to articulate, both orally and in written form, clear and concise program objectives and goals and summarize achievements of programs in reports and other documents as requested.      Documented experience working as an active, contributing team member, as well as an independent and self-motivated employee. Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines, handle multiple assignments, changing priorities, and ensure timeliness and quality of completed assignments. In addition, the selected candidate who begins original employment or re-employment in this position must serve a 12-month probationary period effective from the date of employment. The anticipated starting salary range is $72,000 to $82,000 plus the state's benefits package.
