Applications Specialist – Capital Equipment
Location: Southwest or Midwest | Travel: 25–50% | Salary: $90,000–$110,000 + ~$5k bonus

We are seeking an Applications Specialist to provide technical expertise, hands-on testing, and customer-facing support for capital equipment sales. This role involves lab trials, equipment demonstrations, pre- and post-sales support, and collaboration with sales teams to deliver solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab trials and application testing; document and report results.

• Support sales teams with pre- and post-sales activities, including equipment demonstrations and customer visits.

• Provide technically sound guidance to customers and internal teams.

• Assist in preparing technical presentations and training materials.

• Identify opportunities for product and process improvement.

• Stay current on industry trends, equipment, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Process, or Automation)

• 5+ years of applications engineering or technical support experience

• Hands-on mechanical skills, CAD knowledge, and familiarity with materials and equipment

• Strong communicator, customer-focused, and willing to travel regularly

Compensation & Benefits

• Base: $90,000–$110,000 (flexible for exceptional candidates)

• Bonus: ~$5,000
