Job Description

The Applications Engineer supports the sales team by providing technical guidance, developing equipment solutions, and assisting with customer needs. This role bridges engineering and sales by helping customers select the right equipment, preparing quotes, and supporting revenue growth. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable working with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to the sales team and assist with customer needs.
• Develop equipment solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Help customers select the right equipment and prepare quotes.
• Support revenue growth by bridging engineering and sales efforts.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, TEAMs).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced sales environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and design skills.
• Familiarity with creating a bill of materials and proposal preparation.
• The candidate will be trained to operate a forklift.

Work Environment

The role involves working closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams, requiring excellent communication and multitasking skills. The work environment is fast-paced and sales-oriented, necessitating proficiency with standard office software such as Microsoft Office and design tools like SolidWorks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
