    What you’ll do

    • Turn customer needs into solutions
      • Break down RFQs, prints, and specs to define process steps and tolerances.
      • Map conceptual process flows, draft system layouts, and run early simulations.
      • Select the right technologies: turning, grinding, gear hobbing/grinding, ECM/PECM, laser processing, robotics, and automation.
    • Build winning proposals
      • Prepare complete, technically sound quotations under the guidance of the Technical Sales Manager.
      • Develop cost sheets and pricing inputs; evaluate manufacturing cost structures for competitiveness and margin.
      • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm feasibility, costs, and lead times.
    • Collaborate across teams
      • Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to clarify scope and validate risks and costs.
      • Participate in cross-functional reviews to ensure feasibility and alignment with standards and goals.
      • Create proposal packages, technical documentation, and customer-facing content.
    • Elevate our technical edge
      • Interpret engineering drawings to identify critical features.
      • Track emerging technologies and competitive trends.
      • Continuously improve tools, workflows, and documentation within Technical Sales.
    • Engage with customers
      • Support presentations and technical discussions—on-site or remote.
      • Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

    What you bring

    • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 2–5+ years in technical sales, applications engineering, or machinery/system integration.
    • Experience with machining systems, manufacturing processes, or capital equipment (strongly preferred).
    • Excellent communication—able to make complex engineering topics clear.

    Core competencies

    • Data analysis and manipulation for sizing and costing.
    • Mechanical engineering/design fundamentals; product design exposure.
    • Budgeting and forecasting to support pricing strategy.
    • Process development across machining, ECM/PECM, laser, and automation.
