Mastercam Programmer / CAM Expert
The opportunity
Our precision manufacturing facility is seeking a Mastercam expert to drive multi-axis programming on our high-end CNC equipment. If you live in Mastercam and love turning a tough model into an efficient, bulletproof toolpath, let's talk.
You'll own your programs end to end - building toolpaths in the office, then proving them out yourself on the floor before handing finished programs to leads and operators. This role rewards initiative: we're after someone who takes the reins and runs, spots a better way and builds it, and doesn't wait to be told what's next.
Day to day
- Develop efficient, reliable Mastercam toolpaths for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis work.
- Build and verify post processors, simulations, and toolpath strategies for complex geometry.
- Prove out your own programs at the machine, then hand off clean programs and documentation to operators.
- Optimize cycle times, surface finish, and tool life through smart CAM strategy.
- Partner with engineering and quality to nail first-article and production parts.
- Push continuous improvement in our programming and setup standards.
Who we want
- Strong Mastercam skills, ideally including multi-axis and post-processor work - or deep CAM programming ability with a hands-on, prove-it-yourself mentality.
- Equally at home at a workstation and standing at the machine watching your program run.
- Self-starter who takes full ownership of a part from model to finished, validated program.
- Strong grasp of GD&T, tooling, workholding, and machining theory.
- Comfortable reading complex 3D models and prints.
- Always looking to make the process faster, tighter, and more repeatable.
