Seeking an experienced Applications Engineer III to support a global planning organization. This position focuses on modernizing business applications, developing data-intensive solutions, and leveraging AI/ML technologies to improve planning processes and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong software development experience, the ability to work directly with business stakeholders, and a proven track record of transforming legacy systems into scalable, modern solutions.
Job Description
Design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications supporting enterprise planning initiatives.
Modernize legacy tools and processes through improvements to architecture, user experience, data infrastructure, and deployment strategies.
Build and support data-intensive applications that process large, structured datasets and complex planning information.
Develop and implement AI/ML-powered solutions that provide measurable business value and are actively utilized by end users.
Collaborate with planners, business partners, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Lead workshops, demonstrations, and solution design sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Design and maintain data aggregation logic, planning models, and multidimensional planning grids.
Drive projects from concept through deployment with minimal oversight.
Participate in application support, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
5+ years of software development experience.
Strong proficiency in at least two of the following:
Python
TypeScript/JavaScript
SQL
Cloud-native frameworks
Demonstrated experience implementing AI/ML solutions in production environments.
Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and business processes.
Experience designing and building data-intensive applications.
Strong understanding of structured data, aggregation logic, and planning systems.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience leading stakeholder meetings, workshops, and solution demonstrations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Self-directed with the ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results independently.
